Season 9 started on 9 July 2026, themed around the 2030 World Cup hosts. The in-game season pass runs on the usual five-week cadence, putting the season's end around 13 August 2026 — EA publishes this only through the in-game timer, so treat it as expected rather than editorially confirmed. What follows is Season 10, the pre-season for FC 27, bridging into EA SPORTS FC 27, which launches worldwide on 25 September 2026 (official EA announcement; 18 September early access for Ultimate-edition players).
What actually resets between UT seasons
Unlike ladder shooters, FC 26 does not knock you down divisions when a new UT season starts. What resets in Division Rivals is the protection around your rank: checkpoints and their loss counters clear at the season rollover, your weekly score starts over, and the Limited Checkpoints that stop relegation have to be re-earned. In practice that means the first games of a new season carry real relegation risk that end-of-season games did not — lose early and there is no cushion under you yet.
The weekly clock: Champions qualification
The sharper reset in this game is weekly, not seasonal. Champions qualification runs on qualifier points earned through Rivals wins (Division 6 or higher), unused points carry into the next week, and the Weekend League itself locks its rewards every single week. The real deadline: everything ends with FC 26
Your Rivals division, your Champions history, your club — none of it transfers as-is to FC 27. Each new title starts a fresh ladder; the only carry-over is indirect, through your record (FC 26 seeded starting divisions from your FC 25 peak, and Season 9's pass already dangles FC 27 packs) and through end-of-cycle rewards you bank now. That makes these final weeks the highest-leverage window of the whole cycle: every Rivals milestone, Squad Battles rank and Champions finish you lock in before late September is a result FC 27 can never take away — and it is the busiest season of the year for our EA FC services for exactly that reason.
