Clash Royale Season 85, "Honor & Exile", started on Monday 6 July 2026, and the next season ticks on Monday 3 August 2026. This page is the permanent season tracker — and it matters more than usual right now, because the June 2026 rework changed what a season reset actually does. Most older guides describe rules that no longer exist; here is the current system, with every claim sourced.

Season 85 dates

Season 85 began on 6 July 2026 (per RoyaleAPI's season post). Clash Royale seasons run monthly and tick on the first Monday of each month, which makes the next reset — Season 86 — Monday 3 August 2026. That cadence is one of the most reliable in gaming: no projections needed, the calendar is the schedule. Supercell does not publish an exact rollover hour, so plan around the day, not the minute.

What resets at a new season (post-June-2026 rules)

The June 2026 update rebuilt the reset rules, and the old "trophies above the threshold get pulled back down" mechanic is gone. The current system splits into three:

Trophy Road (0–14,000): never resets. Every trophy up to 14,000 is permanent progress — the monthly tick does not touch it.

Seasonal Trophy Road (above 14,000): resets to 0 every month. This new ladder is where the monthly churn now lives. It runs through two Seasonal Arenas, and the second one has a twist: Arena II bans your top-8 most-used cards, forcing genuinely different decks at the top of the climb.

Ranked (formerly Path of Legends): everyone resets to Master I monthly. The renamed competitive mode wipes the leagues back to Master I at each tick, softened by a re-climb multiplier — how high you finished last season sets how fast your early wins move you back up. Supercell has not published one permanent multiplier table, so we do not print exact values.

Before the tick: what to do at season's end

Two things are on a deadline at the end of every month. Your Seasonal Trophy Road progress — everything above 14,000 — resets to zero, so its rewards must be banked before the tick. And your Ranked league finish is what sets your re-climb multiplier for next season, so one more league banked pays out for the whole following month. That double deadline is why the final week is the most popular window for a Ranked Mode boost or a trophy push.

After the tick: the climb back

Season-start is the fastest climbing of the month: in Ranked, the re-climb multiplier makes early wins worth the most they will ever be, and on the Seasonal Trophy Road everyone starts from zero together. Mid-ladder Trophy Road wins pay out roughly 30 trophies by community measurements (Supercell publishes no table, and per-win values inside the new Seasonal Road are not published at all). For how the ladders, steps and Golden Steps fit together, see the full Clash Royale rank system guide — and if you would rather spend the multiplier at maximum efficiency, the Ranked boost shows a real price and ETA for your target league.

Season history

Season 85 "Honor & Exile" follows the monthly numbered cadence Clash Royale has run since seasons launched in 2019. The structural milestones that matter for the ladder: July 2025, Path of Legends renamed to Ranked; June 2026, the reset rework — permanent Trophy Road capped at 14,000, the new monthly-resetting Seasonal Trophy Road with two Seasonal Arenas above it, and the monthly Ranked reset to Master I. Any guide describing trophy resets "back toward a threshold" predates June 2026 and is no longer accurate. We log each season's dates here as they close.
