Why a Diamond division costs eleven times a Rookie one
The price curve in the table is the ranked economy made visible. Every Apex ranked match charges an RP entry cost that rises with your tier — Rookie games are free to enter, and from Bronze upward each tier demands better and better results just to break even — while the RP you earn comes from match placement plus eliminations. Low on the ladder, a decent placement alone banks points, so Rookie and Bronze divisions fall fast and cost €1.85–€2.75 each. From Platinum on, the entry fee means a quiet mid-placement game can lose you points even with a kill or two, and Diamond lobbies stack the best non-Master players on the server — which is why those divisions run €10.40 and €20.50, and why so many solo players stall exactly there. The 25-rung ladder (Rookie IV up to Master) is priced per division on the calculator, so the quote you see is the sum of exactly the steps you're buying — and long climbs discount themselves automatically: 5% off at 15+ divisions, 7.5% off at 20+. One floor worth knowing: once you promote out of Rookie you can never demote back into it, so Bronze IV is the lowest a ranked account effectively sits.
