Titanfall References in Apex Legends

Many fans of Apex Legends have noticed a few Titanfall references while tested out the new Legend Fuse’s tactical ability found in Season 8. This might come as a surprise if you aren’t an avid player, but most super fans know that the lore-filled universe that’s present in Apex Legends was based on events found in Titanfall and Titanfall 2.

It’s evident that the developers of all three games, Respawn Entertainment enjoyed what they created in Titanfall and Titanfall 2, as they brought many references back to life more than 30 years later when creating Apex Legends.

An In-Depth Look

With all things considered, Apex Legends and Titanfall are set in the same universe. Due to this, there are inevitably going to be hidden Easter eggs concealed in the battle royale. The creators behind these eggs continue hiding these references because fans enjoy looking for these hidden gems.

Each season seems to bring its own unique references, which ensure these little hunts remain exciting. We have picked out some of our most well-liked references of Titanfall and Titanfall 2 in Apex Legends.

Season Six Reference: Rampart’s Graffiti

Rampart is known for being the avatar performing graffiti all over World’s Edge. Many fans noticed that one of the images of Rampart’s graffiti paid homage to the main antagonist in Titanfall 2, Kuben Blisk. This was a shocking revelation for many fans, as Rampart is seen as being quite carefree and fun. Many were left puzzled as to why she would pledge allegiance to Kuben Blisk, who was known as a despicable tyrant.

Season Eight Reference: The New Legend Named Fuse

Although season eight brought incredible content, fans were immediately drawn to the new Legend that goes by the name Fuse. From the get-go, fans immediately noticed the reference to Titanfall when exploring the tactical ability offered by the explosive’s expert, Fuse.

In addition to this, one significant difference between the other Apex Legends and Fuse was that the new Legend’s Knuckle Cluster ability had a different sound queue when compared to other Legends’. This was noticed during the period where the cooldown timer had expired.

Many fans started conducting comparisons of Fuse’s tactical ready sound without Apex Legends’ and concluded that the new Legend has a sound that was similar to the sound of tactical found in Titanfall.

Our Thoughts

Of course, the Titanfall references found in Apex Legends are incredibly minimal and don't mean much to the ordinary person. We displayed that in our two tiny examples. In some cases, you might argue that these examples are a simple mix-up or an interesting coincidence. This causes a huge debate as other gamers believe this to be a genuine reference to Respawn’s former glory.
